CEOCOR is an international non-profit organization established nearly 60 years ago, dealing with corrosion prevention techniques for Water, Gas and Oil pipelines. It is organized in 2 Commissions: Commission 1 for internals of pipelines and Commission 2 for externals.
CEOCOR is formed by hundreds scientists, technical specialists, researchers and practitioners from Gas, Oil and Water Companies, from Research Institutes and Universities from all over Europe. Presently 16 European countries are represented from individuals or Organizations. Increasingly representatives from extra-European countries are joining Ceocor activities. Well before the Standardization Bodies started their works on corrosion of buried pipelines, CEOCOR had already prepared a series of Technical Documents, Recommendations and Booklets which have been extensively used to prepare CEN and ISO and CENELEC Standards.
Within its Commissions, CEOCOR has a number of Working Groups where important subjects are presently under study, including as the following:

COMMISSION 1 – Internal Corrosion & Water Systems

Working Group A: Management for construction and rehabilitation strategies concerning water and gas supply systems
Working Group B: Influencing of water quality by water tanks
Working Group C: Strategies for reasonable and successful use of chemical disinfectants in drinking water systems
Working Group D: Corrosion and Corrosion protection in sewer systems
