Discussing Morocco As a Major African Hydrocarbon Holder and Its Developing Potential at Morocco Oil & Gas 2014 Summit

21 mar 2014
The Morocco Oil & Gas 2014 Summit, organised by IRN in collaboration with the ONHYM and sponsored by the key players of the industry such as Chevron, Kosmos Energy, Gulfsands Petroleum, Galp Energia, Clifford Chance, Ernst & Young, Dolphin Geophysical, GPS Intl, Sotaserv and PwC, will be the first platform dedicated to Morocco to assess the resources of the country and understand the key points for its hydrocarbon future

2014 will be the year for oil and gas for Morocco. With the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) announcing up to ten offshore exploration wells to be implemented in the coming months, twice as many as in the last ten years, there is no doubt Moroccan reserves and assets position the country as a major African oil and gas hub.

More than 150 executive representatives from top contractors and major companies will gather in the 5* setting of the Pullman Marrakech Palmeraie Hotel on 7th-8th May 2014 to get exclusive insights through topical presentations and interactive case-studies while benefiting from senior level networking intervals to discuss  new business opportunities.

Furthermore, three sessions will be dedicated to the hydrocarbon potential of the whole of the Western African region, to assess the main discoveries and operations going on in these countries but also to evaluate the strong cooperative link between Morocco and its Western neighbours. This special focus will provide a 360 degree vision of the investment environment in West Africa.
