Recent industry developments indicate that Russia can become a major LNG producer in the next 5 years. Russia as a strong natural gas exporter is actively stepping into the LNG market. Together with international partners, the country is working on five new projects: Sakhalin-2 expansion and train 3, Baltic LNG, Yamal LNG, Far East LNG, and Pechora LNG.
