The Vice President while receiving the delegation on behalf of the president and government of Nigeria stated that it was indeed an honour for Nigeria to have been elected president of the Association. He stressed the fact that APPA was right in taking the necessary steps to re-position itself to become even more relevant in today’s current energy space.
He went on to say that as a founding member of the African Petroleum Producers’ Association and indeed, current president, Nigeria was committed to continuing to fulfil its obligations and will ensure that during the tenure of Nigeria’s presidency of APPA, more African producers will encouraged not only join APPA but play active roles within this very important association for the benefit of all stake holders. The organisation of CAPE VI (6th African Petroleum Congress & Exhibition) is key to realising the aforementioned goals.
