PREVIEW AQUATECH MEXICO

27 lug 2017
Aquatech Mexico revolves around water scarcity and water quality

After the first sold-out edition of Aquatech Mexico last year, the show returns bringing together water professionals on the visitor and exhibitor side, but also from the Mexican and Dutch government on topics covering the full water spectrum.

The Government of Mexico unveiled its Water Agenda for 2015-2030, underlining the water sector opportunities in the country in the years ahead. The Agenda covers all possible water issues: too little water, too much water and the quality of water.

The response to Aquatech Mexico’’s first edition, with its focus on municipal, industrial, commercial and residential sectors, established it as a must-attend event for accessing this vibrant market as well as its surrounding countries.

Adding 30% more floor space, some 175 companies from around the world will exhibit this 2nd edition, coming from countries such as Israel, Korea, China, Netherlands, and USA, as well as from Mexico itself.

The first edition of Aquatech Mexico resulted in attracting a visitor attendance of 5,333 on a sold out show floor. The conference programme, a vital and popular part of Aquatech covered over 30 different subjects. “Knowledge exchange is an essential part of the show”, says Exhibition Director Mexico Kim Schotborgh. “We are very grateful to our Exhibition Committee of wise men and women in the Mexican industry who advise us on the topics and speakers and keep us up to speed on industry developments.”, she continues.

Aquatech Mexico co-locates with the GREEN EXPO the largest annual Mexican exhibition for the environmental and renewable energy sectors, organised by E.J. Krause. This show links to water in many ways, offering visitors the opportunity to visit both shows Aquatech and proudly celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

‘The successful first edition exceeded all our expectations and Aquatech is committed to stay in Mexico and connect the golden triangle of business, government and science,’ says Annette Bos, Group Director Water and organiser of Aquatech Global Events with RAI Amsterdam. ‘Combining a solid base in the Netherlands - famous for its proven track record on water innovations and solutions- and the reputation of Aquatech global as a connector of international relations, we pride ourselves in offering a platform of global solutions to local problems.’
