SHOW DIRECTOR LETTER - ABU DHABI SUSTAINABILITY WEEK

06 ott 2016
Turning the COP 21 Paris Climate Conference agreement into actionable solutions, the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2017 will celebrate its 10th edition as the Middle East and North Africa’s leading renewable energy and clean technology event – and we want to see you there!

The combined World Future Energy SummitInternational Water Summit (IWS), and EcoWASTE exhibitions hosted a record number of visitors, exhibitors, and buyers during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2016, along with global luminaries such as United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

World Future Energy Summit 2017 will be held under the theme of “Sustaining the Clean Energy Consensus; Empowering New Players”, supporting USD 1 trillion in potential global GDP growth from renewable energy by 2020, estimated by the International Renewable Energy Agency.

In response to your feedback, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is expanding to host five co-located exhibitions under one roof – adding Solar Expo and Energy Efficiency Expo, while WFES Sustainable Transport Zone will return to showcase the latest solutions in energy-efficient vehicles.

Conference Programs and Masterclasses will host thousands of the world’s leading experts on sustainability trends and innovations across energy, water, and waste in an interactive and networking environment.

Networking opportunities will include top experts and key decision makers from the MENA and South Asia regions’ hottest markets, including Saudi Arabia where the nation’s 2030 Vision includes a target of 9.5 GW of renewable energy, and India, which is seeking investors and technology for an additional 175 GW of renewables, including 100 GW of solar.

Driving networking, Sustainability Business Connect will return to pre-arrange thousands of meetings between buyers and sellers. World Future Energy Summit 2016, for example, hosted a record 1,735 executive buyers from 1,322 companies and 75 countries.

Mark your calendars today for 16-19 January 2017, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
