Tomorrow, May 28, is the last day to purchase the reduced-price ticket to participate to the 3rd ConferenzaGNL, which, this year, will focus on the methanisation of the Mediterranean area through LNG. Only for the next few hours, it will be still possible to register for simply 190 euros + VAT, then the ticket price will become 230 online and 280 on site (135, 160 and 210 for the World Energy Council WEC members). The ticket will give full access to the intense debate on the future of liquid methane in maritime and land transportation in the Mediterranean area.
Meanwhile, the list of participants is almost completed, including representatives from the institutions and the managers from the companies actively working on LNG in the Mediterranean. The Euro-Mediterranean sector supply chain is fully represented at ConferenzaGNL, through presentations and sponsorships which include LNG production, storage and distribution operators, plants and grids operators, engine designers, vehicles and ships producers, companies specialised in cryogenics and final consumers.
One of the most awaited contribution is that of Enagas, the Spanish grid operator leader in the Mediterranean LNG market. Almost all the liquefied gas coming to Italy is supplied by its storage site in Barcelona, which sent more than 350 loads by tanker truck in 2014, and it is preparing for transport by barge and to refuel ferries and ships. Claudio Rodriguez, Gas Assets General Manager of Enagas, will illustrate the expansion strategies in the Mediterranean of the company.
A potential competitor on Mediterranean supply could become the OLT regasification terminal storage, moored in the Italian coast in front of the port of Livorno. However, market perspectives reveal possibilities for several operators, once the use of methane will spread in Sardinia, probably in Corsica and on the coasts of Northern Africa and the Middle East to Turkey. Aberto Ton, Commercial Manager of OLT, will discuss the company strategies.

Alla ConferenzaGNL le strategie del leader mediterraneo Enagas e quelle del rigassificatore OLT, il primo galleggiante nell’area
Scade domani, 28 maggio il biglietto ridotto per iscriversi e partecipare ai lavori della 3rd ConferenzaGNL, dedicata quest'anno alla metanizzazione del Mediterraneo con il GNL. Per ancora poche ore l'iscrizione costa solo 190 euro + IVA, poi 230 on line e 280 on site (135, 160, 210 per i dipendenti di aziende associate al World Energy Council Italia WEC Italia), valida per due giorni di intenso lavoro e confronto sul futuro del metano liquido nei trasporti marittimi e terrestri dell'area del Mediterraneo.
Si sta completando intanto la partecipazione di esperti, rappresentanti delle istituzioni e dei manager delle imprese che hanno strategie di sviluppo del proprio business del GNL nel Mediterraneo. La filiera industriale euro-mediterranea del settore, con relazioni e sponsorizzazioni, tutta rappresentata nella ConferenzaGNL: produttori, stoccatori e distributori di GNL, gestori di impianti e di reti, motoristi, produttori di autoveicoli e imbarcazioni, società di criogenia, consumatori finali.
Tra gli interventi delle industrie molta attesa per l'intervento di Enagas, la società di rete gas leader del GNL nel Mediterraneo. Quasi tutto il gas liquefatto che arriva in Italia viene dal suo deposito di Barcellona, con più di 350 carichi via autobotte nel 2014. Inoltre, la società sta preparando anche per il trasporto via bettoline e il rifornimento di navi e traghetti. Ad illustrare le strategie di espansione nel Mediterraneo di Enagas sarà Claudio Rodriguez, Gas Assets General Manager.
Un potenziale concorrente per le forniture marittime nel Mediterraneo potrà poi essere il deposito del rigassificatore OLT, ormeggiato al largo della costa italiana davanti alla città portuale di Livorno. Le prospettive di mercato dicono però che ci sarà spazio per parecchi operatori man mano che gli usi del Metano si diffonderanno anche in Sardegna, probabilmente in Corsica e lungo le costa Nord dell'Africa e del Medio Oriente fino alla Turchia.
