The Eastern Mediterranean is one of the fastest growing frontier energy basins in the world. Whilst the focus has largely been on the exploration and production of the region’s offshore hydrocarbon sector, the Eastern Mediterranean also has a huge potential for the development of renewable and clean energies such as wind and hydrogen.
With this in mind, the Eastern Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition in Nicosia will not only assess the latest offshore hydrocarbon technological, regulatory and commercial developments in the area but will also assess and debate the future development of clean and sustainable energy in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean. The outlook for the sector as well as those supporting it, including the maritime and shipping sector looks strong.
EMC 2021 will focus on the full energy chain, including:
Developing the Eastern Mediterranean as a Sustainable Energy Hub
Strategically located in the Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus is an ideal hub for the development and support of offshore hydrocarbons in the Easter Med basin. With presentations from Government, Regulators & Operators, this segment of the agenda will focus on the development of offshore and onshore infrastructure, LNG regas terminals, port facilities as well as the practical, corporate and commercial steps needed to further develop the Eastern Mediterranean as a sustainable energy hub.
The Digitalization of the Eastern Mediterranean Sector
The energy industry has always led the way when it comes to tech innovation and today is no different. EMC 2021 will fully assess the digitization of the sector including lean field digital management, cyber security, effective data room management, using geomodelling to better assess subsea prospects and a whole lot more!
The Outlook for Renewables Hydrogen & Maritime Sectors
The clean and sustainable management of finite energy resources is of paramount importance. With this in mind, EMC 2021 will explore how such resources can be sensitively developed and critically assess the outlook for the development of offshore wind, the marine industry and future energies such as carbon capture storage & hydrogen.
We have just a few spaces available for those who would like to share their expertise and knowledge in the following areas:
? The Shipping Outlook & Developing the Offshore Supply Chain in the Eastern Mediterranean
? Assessing the Outlook for a Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Mediterranean
? Sourcing the right personnel for offshore & sustainable energy operations in the Eastern Mediterranean
