Day 2 kicked off with the opening of The Future Sustainability Summit, followed by 3 free WFES Forums, then shifted gears to the busy show floor where exhibitors and regional buyers met, networked and conducted business.

Department of Energy (DoE) Unveils “Abu Dhabi Integrated Energy Model”.
The first of its kind in the region, the Model was launched under the theme ‘Energy: A Power that Shapes the Future’, to provide a roadmap for the energy sector in the upcoming period, in line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
The Model helps outline a holistic plan for the energy sector, determine the main tenets of sustainability, set strategies and action plans to ensure efficient use of all energy resources, and drive the transition towards renewable and clean energy.
Business Networking at WFES
Saudi Municipalities meet EcoWASTE Exhibitors to discuss opportunities in KSA’s waste management sector.
What started as a speed networking event turned into a full round table between Saudi Municipalities and WFES EcoWaste Exhibitors, discussing the challenges and solutions of waste management and waste control in Saudi Arabia.
Amongst participating entities were Municipality representatives of Jeddah, Holy Mecca, Al Ahsa and Eastern Province.
The Future Sustainability Summit
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance, delivered the opening address to a global audience of investment, business and government leaders including H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Chairman of Masdar and H.E. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Saudi Arabia.
