WFES: day 3 saw plenty of new partnerships being forged

Reflecting on the WFES brand promise, day 3 saw plenty of new partnerships being forged, as well as MoUs and deals being signed to accelerate sustainable development. 

 

Deals at WFES

TAQA and LakeDiamond signed an  MoU to transmit energy via lasers powered by lab-grown diamonds, wirelessly and sustainably, to promote clean energy and efficiency.

 

Deal at WFES EcoWaste

Tadweer awarded more than AED 1bn in contracts, which included a  AED 364 million contract with West Coast Saubermacher Environmental Services to provide waste collection and transport services in Al Dhafra.

 

Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum

H.E. Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, UAE and Chairman of ADGM, inaugurated the 1st ADSFF by Abu Dhabi Global Market, leading the push for sustainable financing. In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, 25 key UAE Public and Private Entities signed the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration to address climate change and support sustainable finance.

 

The Future Sustainability Summit

H.E. Suhail Mazrouei, Minister of Energy & Industry, welcomed the audience, followed by H.E. Dr. Armen Sarkissian, President of Armenia, who delivered the Head of State Keynote Address. Once again the packed agenda featured a number of high-level speakers from government, business and investment bodies who discussed sustainability in policy, innovation, water and food.

 

Switzerland and Japan participate at the Buyer’s Club Lounge Meet & Greet

WFES Business Connect team conducted a number of VIP Tours, guiding local stakeholders through the WFES exhibition. VIP Tours were conducted for the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi Municipality. In addition, two Meet & Greet sessions with Swiss and Japan pavilions were hosted in the Buyer’s Club Lounge, allowing international exhibitors to connect directly with key decision-makers from the GCC and South Asia markets.

 

CLIX Winners to be Announced Tomorrow 

 

Day 3 at CLIX saw commendable innovations by startups pitching for Future of Energy. Bluephin introduced an intelligent autonomous waste collecting robot powered by AI that collects up to 350kg of trash in 2 hours. Attendees also witnessed other interesting innovations by Living Light, Geo-Line, Swimsol, and many more.
