About the World Gas Conference

The triennial World Gas Conference and Exhibition is the biggest and most important gas industry event, attracting more than 4,000 delegates from 600 energy companies coming from all over the world and showcasing the latest developments on policies, strategies, technologies, challenges and opportunities. The conference theme is “Growing together towards a friendly planet”, highlighting the importance of sustainable and efficient use of our resources.

Abstract Submissions

The conference will provide decision makers with a powerful foundation to take actions that will help rebuild and sustain global growth.

“Our focus will be to highlight the essential role that gas will play in future world growth, especially given the increasing demand for cleaner energies. The development of natural gas is a key long-term solution for sustainable economic growth and a more secure energy future for everyone, globally” said Jérôme Ferrier, President, IGU.

To support the theme and reinforce the IGU’s role in the gas industry, four strategic pillars will be used as guidelines to sustain future global growth of gas at this fantastic event:

Obtain of?cial recognition for natural gas as a “foundation” fuel for sustainable development

Promote an appropriate mix of natural gas with renewables and electricity

Improve the availability of natural gas in new areas and in developing countries

Attract human resources and reduce staff turnover

Daniel Paccoud, Chairman, NOC says: “Growth must be sustainable and shared between continents. Sustainable growths aim to improve current conditions without comprising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.

The IGU Coordination Committee is inviting potential speakers to submit papers for review and possible presentation at the event. Authors are requested to submit abstracts relating to the topics chosen carefully to reflect the industry progression and latest challenges and opportunities.
