Zaragoza Exhibition Center and SMAGUA welcome to Zaragoza the most important annual meeting in the water sector

During two days, on the past 12 and 13 November 2018, the International Water and Irrigation Exhibition –SMAGUA– placed, one again, Zaragoza on the world trade fair calendar.

The OECD Water Governance Initiative held its 11th meeting at the Palacio de Congresos, a location managed by Zaragoza Exhibition Center. That meeting gathered almost one hundred practitioners, policymarkers and representatives from major stakeholder groups.

On those days, Zaragoza was the scene in which some experts from around the world analyzed the water governance situation in Spain and other countries and they exchanged knowledge to improve government practices.

In this meeting the delegates discussed topics like the Water Governance for Circular Economy or some challenges and opportunities for the future in Spanish Water Governance.

In this context, Zaragoza Exhibition Center General Manager, Rogelio Cuairán, explained some of latest developments in the next edition of   SMAGUA, which will be hold in Zaragoza, from 5th to 7th of February. This event has become the essential meeting point for the sector thanks to its clearly innovative position, the quality of its technical conferences and the several presentations of products, equipment and technological solutions.

The International Water and Irrigation Exhibition is the oldest and most valuable in Spanish water event and one of the points of reference worldwide. For more than forty years, SMAGUA has had as main objective the commitment to the international industry and it has focused on the most attractive markets for the exhibitor from North of Africa or Latin America.

Proof of this is its large participation in international shows like EIMA, the International Exposition of Machinery for Agriculture and Gardening, which took place in Bologna (Italy); the International Valve Trade Fair &Conference, in Düsseldorf (Germany) and Pollutec, the International trade show for environmental equipment, technologies and services, in Lyon (France).

Furthermore, the organizers of SMAGUA offer a programme of activities base on dissemination, technology and innovation. This plan includes conferences, technical information and international meetings. All of these things will be a main attraction to companies and professionals.

With less than three months to celebration, SMAGUA works to confirm its position as the most effective fair for the southern European market.
